The subject is a Vitorious style specimen with a black body, halo, forked tongue, golden eyes and “v”-shaped markings. The specimen faces the viewer, standing on a red brick sidewalk, and carrying a rectangular sign with the words “Understand”, “Me”, and “Entenda” around a QR code and link to the NFT collection on the Vitorious website. The animal is near a spray can with a crossed out Vitruvian Man and in front of a grey wall with old graffiti and Be|Wilder Brigade logos freshly sprayed in black.

This piece is called “Amanhã?”, the Portuguese equivalent for “Tomorrow?”, as no one knows for sure what the future will bring for this species… or ours, for that matter. Are they still there? Or are their last traces of existence forever confined to mere "0"s and "1"s?

This baboon is another member of the Be|Wilder Brigade, who demonstrates his frustration with our species by desperately using a banana as a projectile. The baboon dons a black BWB cap and a yellow BWB bandana, which I may or may not be working on as benefits for NFT buyers… keep an eye out for that.

The inspiration for the design is the Flower Thrower by Banksy.

A crocodile (from the Brigade) enters a fancy store... He is there to show how the “things” on the shelves are not “things for humans to wear and tear”. In fact, they were relatives that were torn apart for vanity as if humans didn't have skins of their own and other means to cover their flesh already. I encourage those who are puzzled by this work to research this industry further and learn about its horrors for themselves.

This NFT took nine days of meticulous work to turn my pencil sketches of a mural into a digital asset. Six of those days were set aside for the crocodile alone, as I had to make hundreds and hundreds of anatomically incorrect scales. I deemed this arduous task necessary to contrast the desirable aspects of these fashionable objects with the repulsion most people feel towards these ferocious animals.

As its critical status suggests, the species has nothing but its spots left and a simple sign that calls for more rain in hopes that its habitat will regenerate. The specimen faces the viewer, standing inside a dark cave, in which wall paintings of a single paw print and a couple of Pepes throwing a tadpole in the air in jubilation simbolize the small number of individuals left and their dreams of a more prosperous future.

In solidarity with the vociferous species from the Wild Word Web collection, the brigade's flag-bearer, a leaf-winged Mandrill baboon [Mandrillus sphinx], carries the Devolve flag to lead the uprising that will take back the planet from the tyranny of man(un)kind.
